Silly people

If you know anything about programming you'll know how dumb this ad is:

They're scaring the real programmers away with this mess!

I'm guessing that the *'s and /'s and things are part of some programming code which, when translated into human, translates into some type of lude computer humour.

Those saucy programmers!

oh! thanks, i get it now. and boy, am i glad i do. i would have hated to miss out on this crafty bit of computer pleasantness, i tell ya.

While I don't want to quell the notion that programmers can be saucy, the /* */ stuff indicates comments in the code (which can be naughty, it is true). The silliness (and you will laugh when you notice this) is the lonely } a the end! What rubes! See now??

Sure, John. Whatever.

Posted by: Kerry at January 13, 2006 02:45 PM

Uh-uh, uh-uh, yeah. Now that you mention it I can see how illogical this makes the whole thing. Yeah yeah.

Posted by: Elise at January 13, 2006 02:55 PM

Yeah!

Posted by: Kerry at January 13, 2006 03:20 PM

And the semicolon! Hahahahahaha!

Posted by: John at January 13, 2006 03:30 PM

anyway. can we talk about my hair now?

Posted by: Elise at January 13, 2006 03:46 PM

Why do you have curly braces and semicolons in your hair?

Posted by: John at January 13, 2006 04:06 PM

You know NOTHING about women John!

Posted by: Kerry at January 13, 2006 04:42 PM

Uh ... I know as much as any other guy ...

Posted by: John at January 13, 2006 04:44 PM

oh come on, don't give me that "it's all nonsence to me" thing. you know very well that semicolons are com-ple-tely out this year. i've got me some groovy little question marks, the latest.

Posted by: Elise at January 13, 2006 04:46 PM

are you gonna be late for the cinema? cause i know i'm leaving the office right now.

(lady kerry she's right! hee hee!!)

Posted by: Elise at January 13, 2006 05:07 PM

and kerry you should come along, and if this king kong movie is horribly dull we can sneak out and go see the new queen latifa thing. it's playing there too!!

Posted by: Elise at January 13, 2006 05:14 PM

lol, thanks for the invite Elise, but this little chickadee is having an 'at home' night this Friday. :)

...besides, I hear tell that Mr. Jack Black is in King Kong. The Queen may be an excellent role model, but she just ain't as hilarious as the Tenacious one! KONG! woo! Have fun kids! :)

(I picked up some question marks of my own, as a matter of fact! ...with glitter!)

Posted by: Kerry at January 13, 2006 10:02 PM

yeah, the Jackster was pretty funny, with lots of eyebrow action while asiding to the camera and that.

I stuck it our for an hour (that boat... i don't know about my fellow spectators but i was getting nauseous) then effected a switcharoo. the Queen was nice, she was big and 'liscious! and also, she kicked ass.(the movie was mediocre, needless to say.) there was also some good advice from a life coach-type person in there, such as "If you want to succeed, you gotta take that frightened little loser you have inside, and beat the crap outta him!"

Posted by: Elise at January 14, 2006 01:22 PM

If only ALL frightened little losers had the crap beaten out of them more often then the world would be a much better place, indeed. hmmm...
