Ride for heart aftermath
A few shots from Ride For Heart yesterday: Three of us (Kerry, Enoch and your humble servant) met at the Princes' Gate to tackle the road together.

Happy and rested (amazing for being up at dawn on a Sunday).

Enoch rode the entire route in ONE gear. I used all 18 of my gears and almost had to get off and push. Don't you dare try to take pictures while you're biking; I am a professional.

Proof that we all at least survived the adventure.
I was dead by the end of the ride this year. I'm assuming it was because of wind resistance because of the new paniers I added to the bike. I'm sure it has nothing to do with my not being in shape...

I have to admit that I do ride much more for myself than for others ... Enoch raised $1200, Kerry raised hundreds. I raised just over a hundred ... mostly donated by my own self.

Are you trying to say you're better then us for donating more of your OWN money?

I meant that I was a lazy-ass. Interesting that you would see it differently. ;)

Hi Kate!
It's very unusual to stay in one gear. You tend to gear down when going up hill and then gear up when going down hill or on flat so you're always pedalling with the same amount of force.

I still say that he just doesn't know how to work the gears. Either that or he was showing off.
...show off.
