So, we went to see
So, we went to see Battle In Heaven last night. One good thing about the movie is seeing way too many shots of naked fat guys has made me appreciate the guys in Humpback ... I mean Brokeback ... Mountain a lot more. At least they were attractive and dressed well.
I didn't really care for this movie but I did appreciate how the director kept a consistent style through the whole flick. He definitely knew what he was doing. It just moved way too slow for me. And I don't need to see fat guy penises on a sunday night...it disturbs the sleep!
Most of us gave this movie a score of 1 star so I don't know how the final score ended up being 4 out of 5.

Maybe Dom lined all the stars up side by side rather than adding them up. One person tried to give the movie -5 but apparently negative numbers aren't allowed.

I think I know what you're talking about - you're talking about the stars on the meetup.com site as opposed to the ratings that people gave verbally after the movie. That's an entirely different rating system meant to reflect the group in general - the 'movie going experience with this group', not the quality of the film itself.

Hmmm, that was it. I thought he was using the event rating to indicate the final outcome. He thought he said he was recording the vote somewhere and I thought that's what he was doing. My mistake. Thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah, he plans on creating an event photo album and putting the rating beside the movie poster representing particular events, he just hasn't gotten around to doing it yet. :)

btw, I saw Dom and Lisa last night and they said that the final score for Battle in Heaven was actually 1.2 out of 5. ;)

great photos from the rochester trip -- although i have to admit my least fav are the ones with the people in them -- but i guess that reflects me -- ah its getting dark... alora has just emerged from her "cave" and is at the door waiting to go out. She never goes far... just sits outside the door then comes in when i go to bed. i thought these two would wander more -- at least go up on Ed's balcony upstairs -- they used to love it up there -- but still stay kind of close to home. I guess better really - then i wont worry.
